Online Water in Oil/Fuel Analyser
EASZ-2 Water-In-Oil Monitor is a full-bore inline and online highly accurate product designed to continuously monitor the water content in a flowing hydrocarbon media (oil). It is inline because it can be fitted easily into an existing pipeline and online because it can continuously monitor and transmit the values to a remote location.
The EASZ-2 Water in Oil Monitor is a highly accurate online monitor that is installed in a pipe and measures the amount of water in any oil or hydrocarbon under pressure. Water contamination in oil is often measured for various reasons to prevent loss of revenue, additive depletion, oil oxidation, corrosion, reduced lubricating film thickness, accelerated component wear rates, microbiological growth, increase/reduction of the oil dielectric constant, loss of power and for crude oil and hydrocarbon metering/fiscal related purposes.
Operating Principle
We have a choice of two measurements methods which are either the traditional capacitance method or LCOscillation. Users can select the most reliable method to suit their application. Oil and water are completely
different chemically and are characterised by a fundamental difference in their form of molecular bonding.
For this reason, the dielectric constants are vastly different. A typical value range for water is 80 to 150,
whereas hydrocarbon oil/fuel has an average dielectric constant of between 1.9 to 2.3.

EASZ-2 Applications
The EASZ-2 is a full range watercut meter that can measure water content in crude oil from 0-100%. It has great advantages over it’s predecessor because of it’s extended oscillating range.
