Tank Water Level

An ultrasonic level transmitter is a non-contact measuring device installed at the top of a water tank. It operates by emitting high-frequency ultrasonic sound waves toward the surface of the water. When these sound waves strike the water surface, they are reflected back (echo) to the transmitter. The instrument calculates the distance to the water surface by measuring the time it takes for the echo to return. This distance is then converted into a level reading.

A Quick Modern and Affordable Solution for Water Level Measurement in the Philippines

Accurate water level measurement is essential in many applications across the Philippines—from residential water tanks and commercial buildings to industrial plants, pumping stations, and agricultural facilities. One of the most practical and cost-effective technologies available today is the ultrasonic level transmitter.

The ultrasonic level meter is not expensive, and can easily replace older level measurement technologies, which means it is an excellent choice as long as you have access to a power source. The transmitter can also function both as a continuous level measurement device and as a level switch for automatic pump control when combined with an electronic display that has switch outputs for low or high-water level in a tank.

An ultrasonic level transmitter is a non-contact instrument used to measure the level of liquids such as water. It works by sending ultrasonic sound waves from a sensor mounted at the top of a tank or vessel. These sound waves travel to the liquid surface and reflect back to the sensor.

Replacing Older Level Measurement Technologies

Ultrasonic level transmitters can easily replace many traditional level measurement technologies, including:

  • Float switches and float level transmitters
  • Mechanical sight glasses
  • Dipsticks or manual tape measurements
  • Pressure (hydrostatic) level transmitters
  • Electrode or conductivity level switches

Many of these older technologies suffer from mechanical wear, corrosion, clogging, or inaccurate readings over time. Ultrasonic level transmitters, on the other hand, offer a modern, electronic, and non-contact solution with higher accuracy and longer service life.
