How Does a Free Space Radar Level Transmitter Work?
- The transmitter emits microwave radar waves toward the material surface.
- These waves reflect off the surface and return to the sensor.
- The time delay (Time-of-Flight principle) is calculated to determine the exact level.
- The transmitter outputs the data to a display or process control system.

Different Frequency Ranges:
- 6 GHz: For large tanks and coarse materials.
- 10 GHz & 24 GHz: For general-purpose level monitoring.
- 80 GHz (FMCW Radar): Ultra-precise measurements, best for narrow tanks or challenging applications.
